USAID to support vulnerable farmers! USAID/Zrda, Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, and the Governor’s Office of Shida Kartli signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support the farmers recently affected by severe hailstorm in Shida Kartli Region.

In the frameworks of the MOU, USAID joins the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture in helping more than 7,000 vulnerable farmers residing in the impact zone to recover from the extreme hailstorm from May 2019. In response to this, US Government contributes up to 1$ million that will enable the farmers to access necessary inputs to recover their fields.
