When Indigenous Peoples are identified as stakeholders to a USAID project or activity, Operating Units (OUs) must produce a written analysis of potential impacts that such project or activity may have on Indigenous stakeholders. If potential adverse impacts are identified, OUs can follow this recommended road map for engagement with Indigenous Peoples. USAID will not proceed with any activity that could potentially violate the human rights of Indigenous Peoples.
