Powering Agriculture’s achievements changed lives in smallholder farming communities across four continents. They were a product of the work of many entities, including its innovators, partners, and the Investment Alliance.

  • 59 clean energy solutions developed (technologies and/or business models)
  • 3,664 kilowatts of clean energy generation capacity installed
  • 8,449 clean energy systems deployed through Africa, Asia/Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East
  • 65,116 beneficiaries reached, such as farmers, households, and agribusinesses, including 22,666 women
  • $68.8 million additional funding mobilized by innovators
  • 18,092 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent reduction, as a result of innovators’ field activities
  • 16,546 people trained on the operation and maintenance of clean energy systems and their benefits, including 1,744 women
  • 54,439 people increased their knowledge of clean energy technologies through demonstrations as a result of Powering Agriculture support, including 17,047 women
  • 1,542 professionals provided services to clean energy system users, including 175 women
