Announcements

As part of USAID's overall efforts to support the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) response, USAID's Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA) and USAID's Office of Food for Peace (USAID/FFP) provide interim guidance and basic recommended approaches for applicants requesting support for COVID-19 response activities.  This guidance is intended to complement the USAID/OFDA Application Guidelines and relevant USAID/FFP guidance, which are in effect through September 30, 2020; please use this guidance in conjunction with them. USAID applicants should also refer to USAID’s COVID-19 Guidance for IPs, particularly for information about ongoing awards and COVID-19.

On October 18, 2019, USAID/OFDA launched the new Application and Award Management Portal (AAMP).  This is a single platform for organizations to submit applications (formerly referred to as proposals) and report results.  Applicants are required to submit applications for grants and cooperative agreements through the portal.  The portal also houses the Award Results Tracking (ART) system for report submission.  Existing ART users can use their current log-in information to access AAMP.   An AAMP user guide and a recorded USAID/OFDA Application Submission Information Session are available within the portal and Frequently Asked Questions are available here.  Please email aamp@ofda.gov with any technical questions.

Submitting an Application

If your organization would like to become a USAID disaster response partner, the Application Guidelines are intended to assist organizations in the preparation of applications for new awards and award modifications for submission to USAID’s Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA). The Guidelines lay out considerations relevant to the application review and award process and outline the main components of an unsolicited application. The Guidelines also contain Sector Requirements for each of the humanitarian sectors that USAID/OFDA funds.

If your organization would like to submit an application with the Office of Food for Peace (USAID/FFP), visit the Food Assistance Emergency Programs page for more information.

USAID’s Annual Program Statements (solicited applications) can be found on www.grants.gov. For general inquiries about the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, please email AskBHA@usaid.gov.
