Welcome to our training series “How to Work with USAID.”

Español | Portugues | Français

We appreciate your interest in working with us and value your time, so we are making it easier for organizations of all sizes and levels of experience to access our resources. This training series answers some of the most frequently asked questions about working with USAID, using guidance straight from USAID staff. You will find practical tips and concrete examples on a variety of topics, such as researching potential funding opportunities and creating a proposal or an application, a budget, and a monitoring and evaluation plan.

The majority of USAID’s funds are awarded competitively through grants, cooperative agreements, or contracts. As explained in the first module, USAID has very limited resources for unsolicited proposals and applications, so please familiarize yourself with our budget and our strategies before submitting your idea through this process. Although completing these training modules will not guarantee an award of USAID funds, you will come away knowing how to focus your efforts when pursuing opportunities that are most relevant to your organization.

Training Modules

USAID is in the process of updating each of the training modules. While we are updating the training, we have provided access to the old .pdf files for your reference.  Currently, the Branding and Marking training is the only full training available.
