Global progress on water and sanitation is possible. USAID’s water and sanitation assistance has resulted in millions of people gaining access to improved drinking water and sanitation services, globally.

Since 2008, USAID’s water and sanitation assistance has resulted in 53. 7 million people gaining access to sustainable drinking water and more than 28 million people gaining access to sustainable sanitation, globally. As a result of USAID programs, communities around the world are benefiting from access to sustainable water and sanitation services.
