Since 2001, USAID has invested $811 million to stimulate economic growth, strengthen the rule of law, and promote good governance in Serbia. Partnering with Serbia’s public and private sector, USAID assistance has helped make Serbia’s courts more transparent and efficient, built the capacity of key government institutions to be more responsive to people’s  needs, improved the business enabling environment, and supported the development of civil society.  USAID's programs continue to foster rule of law and governance reforms, encourage private sector investments and expand economic opportunity for Serbia’s citizens.
