Belgrade – On November 12, the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Cooperation for Growth Project released the findings of the ninth Annual Survey of 1,000 Serbian businesses. The survey, which reflects businesses' views on the business environment, revenues, employees, profit, and access to finance, unsurprisingly showed the significant impact of COVID-19 on doing business in Serbia.

BELGRADE – On October 26, 2020, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Rule of Law Project, in cooperation with the Belgrade Higher Court, organized a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Information Point installed in the court’s lobby so that citizens can easily obtain all information necessary related to their interactions with the court, and have access to educational and informative materials.

Belgrade - On October 9, 2020, the Coalition for Giving and the Serbian Philanthropy Forum marked the third National Day of Giving, with support from the United States Agency of International Development (USAID). An accompanying month-long media campaign Serbia Without Barriers will help raise awareness about the position of people with disabilities in our society and the importance of equality.

Belgrade - On May 22, 2020, the United States Government announced an additional $20.3 million in assistance to the Government of Serbia, as part of amendments to existing assistance agreements. These funds will be used to help make Serbia's economy more competitive, strengthen the rule of law, increase government efficiency, improve the media regulatory environment, and combat corruption.
Belgrade – On Thursday, December 12, 2019, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management launched a loan portfolio guarantee with ProCredit Bank, Addiko Bank, and Banca Intesa to incentivize them to provide up to $90 million in loans to food processors and individual farmers over a 12-year period.

BELGRADE – On November 15, 2019, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the mayors of six cities and municipalities (Niš, Kragujevac, Sremska Mitrovica, Novi Pazar, Žabalj, and Stari grad) to bolster anti-corruption efforts and strengthen transparent, inclusive and accountable local governance. With the seven new partners, USAID is now partnering with 13 local governments to improve transparency and increase public participation in decision making at the local level.

Belgrade – On October 10 and 11, over 100 exhibitors from the fruit, vegetable, meat, and dairy industries showcased their premium food products at the second Belgrade Food Show. Organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Competitive Economy Project, in partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Serbian Food, this event helps exhibitors identify investment opportunities and develop new sales contracts and business partnerships.
