Sefer Selimi is the Founder and Executive Director of Democracy Lab, a CSO driven to create a democracy that will work for everyone. He is a 2016 alumnus of the Community Solutions Program, a U.S. Department of State Leadership Program implemented by IREX. Previously, Selimi worked as the Development Officer for the Department of Local Economic Development and Project Implementation for the Municipality of Gostivar. In this role, he spearheaded the inception of the Gostivar Municipal Youth Council where he served as a Senior Coordinator. In 2015, he went on to establish the Youth Empowerment Platform, a youth-based NGO in Gostivar. Selimi continues to remain committed to fostering sustainable cooperation and partnerships to make tangible change in local communities in Macedonia and around the Western Balkans. Selimi holds an MSc in Diplomacy and International Relations from the International University of Struga and a BA in Business Administration from South East European University (SEEU).
