USAID assistance in Europe & Eurasia builds on decades of success in advancing our partners on the Journey to Self-Reliance. Nearly half of our original partner countries in the region no longer require USAID assistance, and are now development donors themselves. These successes demonstrate the potential of all countries to lead their own development journeys, and ultimately, end the need for foreign assistance.
