Belgrade - On July 8, 2019, the United States Government and the Government of Serbia signed agreements under which the United States will provide $20.8 million in assistance to Serbia. These funds will be used to continue helping make Serbia's economy more competitive, strengthen the rule of law, bolster government operations, improve the environment for media, and to combat corruption.
“Since 2001, the United States has provided more than $1 billion in assistance to Serbia,“ said United States Ambassador Kyle Scott. “Our assistance to Serbia is integral to our partnership with the government of Serbia and the citizens of Serbia. We work directly with the government of Serbia, the Serbian private sector, and civil society – but together, we turn to the people of Serbia to identify solutions to the challenges that many are faced with every day.“
