BELGRADE - On May 20, 2019, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) launched the „Really Important“ community card as part of the Framework for Giving Project. The community card is an innovative fundraising tool and customer loyalty card that will connect citizens, civil society, and local businesses to help their communities promote charitible giving and solidarity. The community card will be introduced in Kruševac, Novi Pazar, Leskovac, Obrenovac, and Sremska Mitrovica with the intention of launching in other towns and municipalities over the next three years.
Citizens who use the community card when making purchases at participating stores will receive a discount. In addition, 1 percent of all purchases made using the community card will be donated to participating local communities and used to fund community projects voted on by citizens. The Framework for Giving project is funded by USAID and implemented by the Coalition for Giving lead by the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation. Other Coalition members are the Trag Foundation, Catalyst Balkans, SMART Kolektiv, the Serbian Philanthrophy Forum, the Responsible Business Forum, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.
