U.S. Government Announces Php42 Million in Grants to  Address Ocean Plastic Pollution

The U.S. government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)’s Clean Cities, Blue Ocean (CCBO) program, has awarded grants worth nearly Php42 million ($890,000) to five organizations in support of local solutions that address ocean plastics pollution.

Through PEPFAR, the U.S. government has committed more than Php875 million ($18.2 million) over two years for U.S.-Philippines bilateral efforts, with implementation by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S. Centers for Disease Control, U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration, and U.S. Department of Defense.
