Pristina, July 27 , 2018 – Today, Ms. Lisa Magno was sworn in as USAID Kosovo Mission Director at a ceremony administered by US Ambassador to Kosovo Greg Delawie. USAID Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Brock Bierman, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and other Kosovo and USEP Officials participated in the ceremony held for the first time in Pristina.
In his remarks, Ambassador Delawie spoke highly about Ms. Magno’s professional skills during her tenure in Kosovo as Deputy Mission Director, as well as her previous work with USAID in the Philipines, Guatemala, Afghanistan and most recently in Washington where she served as the Supervisory Program Officer and Acting Deputy Assistant Adminstrator for Europe and Eurasia Bureau.
Ambassador Delawie highlighted USAID’s role in Kosovo’s development through its partnerships with the Government of Kosovo and civil society organizations to strengthen the country’s political and judicial systems, build stable institutions, nurture a vibrant civil society, and foster economic growth. He added that under Ms. Magno’s leadership he sees a bright future for USAID Kosovo.
