Students learn about Georgia’s European integration process
G4G

USAID’s Government for Growth (G4G) project, in cooperation with the Academy of the Ministry of Finance, successfully completed the third phase of the European Union (EU) - Georgia Integration Training Program for Youth. Thirty students from various public and private universities received information from experienced professionals and deepened their knowledge to better understand and discuss Georgia’s European integration process in detail. All participants conducted research and presented on their chosen topic in the final session. G4G will offer its internship program to the top three participants.

The course included 12 sessions that covered the following topics: the Structure and Institutions of the EU, History and Enlargement, Political Institutions of the EU, European Neighborhood Policy, Freedom of Movement (capital, goods and services), Eastern Partnership, Association Agreement, Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, and Visa Liberalization Action Plan. Pre and post-tests show that 94 percent of participants significantly improved their understanding of EU policy and institutions.
