On March 26, USAID Mission Director Peter A. Wiebler made opening remarks at  the 9th Annual Meeting of Election Management Bodies. This year’s theme, “Electoral Integrity: Cyber security and the reliability of information in the digital era”, explores the new and evolving challenges of managing elections in the digital age. The U.S. Agency for International Development supports the development of election management bodies and civil society organizations working to address disinformation and cybersecurity all around the world. Here in Georgia, we are proud to support these activities with our Georgian partners, including the Central Election Commission and civil society organizations, and encourage these important discussions and sharing of experiences with our global partners
