The FEMPOW / Mujeres Poderosas Activity aims to improve the lives of Colombian women and men by increasing women’s economic participation, transforming cultural norms to promote gender equality, and improve the implementation of gender-related policies and services. This integrated Activity will contribute to Colombian development by reducing violence against women, increasing economic development, promoting co-responsible gender roles and models, and supporting the State to implement gender-related policies and legislation in the rural regions of Colombia. It will also support the Colombian government in its transition to a sustainable and inclusive peace by promoting the socioeconomic empowerment of women and girls in the conflict and violence- affected municipalities.
