The Victims Institutional Strengthening Program (VISP) provides technical support at the national, departmental and municipal levels for the effective implementation of public policies for Colombia’s over eight million victims.
The "Victims Participation and Collective Reparation Program,” promotes the effective participation of civil society in the implementation of the Victims and Land Restitution Law.
Combatting illegal activities, including illegal mining, and providing alternative incomes through the licit economy are paramount for a sustainable peace. In response, USAID/Colombia’s Artisanal Gold Mining activity is the agency’s largest and most ambitious effort to promote responsible mining, alternative livelihoods, and environmental rehabilitation.
