Baku – With funding from USAID, hardworking Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society volunteers are delivering 7,000 more boxes of food and hygiene supplies to families experiencing hardship during the pandemic. These supplies will help 3,500 families across eight regions of the country. This is the second delivery of supplies to vulnerable families supported by USAID’s COVID-19 response funding to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) for Azerbaijan.

BAKU - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Azerbaijan and the United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) signed a memorandum of understanding today on collaboration towards common goals.  These two partners will work together to help stimulate economic growth, and to promote trade and commerce, as well as academic and cultural ties, between the United States and the Republic of Azerbaijan. 

Communities Improve Infrastructure through USAID-Azerbaijan Collaboration

BAKU – Citizens in Zardab and Fizuli have contributed time and money to improve community infrastructure by building a new medical facility, a feed-grinding and seed-cleaning facility, and renovating a kindergarten. These projects were implemented through the Socio-Economic Development Activity (SEDA), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Khachmaz Communities Improve Water Supply with U.S., Azerbaijani Government Support

KHACHMAZ – Today, the villages of Khaspoladoba, Arzu and Sarkarli in Khachmaz district inaugurated one new irrigation and two water supply systems projects that will improve access to irrigation water for local farmers and supply non-potable water for household use for several thousand residents.  These projects are part of collaboration between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Azerbaijani government, and local communities. 

USAID Mission Director Opens Feed-Grinding Centers in Goranboy

GORANBOY – Today, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director Jaidev Singh gave remarks at the inauguration of two feed- and seed-grinding centers in the Fakhrali and Garadaghli communities in the Goranboy District that will allow local farmers to make their own affordable animal feed for their cows and poultry. The feed-grinding centers are part of the Socio-Economic Development Activity (SEDA), an ongoing collaboration between USAID and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy to support citizen’s efforts to improve their communities.
