Mikaela Meredith serves as the Country Representative in Tirana, Albania. Prior to assuming her current duties, Ms. Meredith served as Mission Director in Azerbaijan; Deputy Director for the Africa Ebola Unit; Director of the Office of Southern African Affairs; Director of Office of East African Affairs; Deputy Mission Director in Nigeria and Yemen; and Supervisory General Development Officer in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Before joining the Foreign Service, Ms. Meredith worked for OFDA for 8 years.

Ms. Meredith received a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International Affairs, and a B.A. degree from Union College. She received a Superior Honor Award in 2018 in recognition for her leadership in Azerbaijan.
