The developing island nation of Timor-Leste is moving to ban single-use plastic products and pledges to recycle all plastic waste by 2030, the country’s secretary of state for environment said in an Ocean Talk led by The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) at the Our Oceans Conference 2018 (OOC2018) here.
Farmers in Timor-Leste are getting improved connections to their markets thanks to a grant program from United States Agency for International Development’s Avansa Agrikultura Project that helps vegetable collectors acquire cool storage and vehicles to pick up and deliver produce.

The United States Government through the United States Agency for International Development this week signed an amended bilateral agreement with the Government of Timor-Leste to help Timor-Leste achieve its strategic development goals.
