I feel so grateful to return to Durban for the second time to be part of another big event on TB. I had the opportunity of attending this year’s World TB Day event held here in Durban, earlier. I was happy to see the commitment from the various leaders taking charge, to ensure that those they lead, adopt healthier lifestyles, and also get access to information and health care services.
Dumelang! This is my first visit to Bloemfontein, but already I can see why it is known as the city of flowers and also a province that is producing great readers. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce launched today Mozambique’s AGOA Utilization Strategy. Designed to increase trade and economic growth throughout Africa, the Strategy will help ensure Mozambican businesses are better positioned to use AGOA for duty free access to the U.S. market for more than 6,500 products.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in support of Power Africa has developed a geospatial tool to guide the advancement of the Zambia energy sector. The USAID Southern Africa Energy Program (SAEP) collaborated with the Zambia Ministry of Energy and the Rural Electrification Authority (REA) to produce the tool, which identifies areas without power and presents the lowest-cost electrification options
Argentine Ambassador Javier Figueroa in representation of the Directorate General of International Cooperation of the Republic of Argentina and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Southern Africa Director John Groarke signed a Memorandum of Understanding on April 26, 2018 to work as partners to further development in Southern Africa. In the signing ceremony at the official residence of the Argentine Ambassador, USAID Mission Director Groarke welcomed the new partnership.
