Faculty members from Indiana University and the University of Prishtina (UP) celebrated the successes of their ongoing partnership June 11th. Indiana University has partnered with UP’s Faculty of Education for the past three years to support the University as it works to improve its research, management, and teaching practices. This collaboration is part of USAID’s three-year support to higher education activity in Kosovo.
Indiana University faculty were most recently in Pristina to help launch the third annual Scientific Summer Symposium with the Faculty of Education. The four-day event, which ran from June 11-14th, provided UP academic staff with an opportunity to present their current research projects. Indiana University counterparts also delivered a workshop on qualitative research methods and data analysis as part of the Symposium. In his remarks at the celebration, USAID Mission Director James Hope praised the ongoing collaboration and urged attendees to “sustain and build upon the success of this special partnership” beyond the life of the program. He called on them to continue working together towards a day when every student in Kosovo has access to affordable, quality higher education.
