Participants during the first series of regional workshop
USAID Advancing Kosovo Together - US

Several recent regional workshops held throughout Kosovo focused on the successes and challenges in inclusive vocational training in Kosovo.  The first in the series of these workshops held in Gjilan/Gnjilane was attended by 35 participants, including representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Divisions for Vocational Training Centers (VTC), Divisions for Monitoring and Coordinating Employment Offices, the Ministry of Communities and Returns, the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Municipal Offices for Communities and Returns (MOCR’s), and private businesses from Gjilan/Gnjilane region.

Each workshop consisted of two sessions, the first focused on discussions and presentations from stakeholders, and a second session focused on four working groups: youth, women, non-majority communities, and returnees.  At the end of each workshop these focus groups made recommendations on how to better include these groups into vocational and employment activities. Similar workshops will also be held in the Pejë/Peć and Mitrovicë/a regions. The workshops were organized by our Advancing Kosovo Together – Prime partner.
