USAID Advancing Kosovo Together - Prime

A one day-conference held in Pristina assessed the implementation of the Law on Languages in USAID partner municipalities. Representatives of civil society organizations from the municipalities of Gračanica/Graçanicë, Parteš/Partesh, Ranilug/Ranilluk, Pejë/Peć, Istog/Istok, Zvečan/Zveqan, Štrpce/Shtërpcë, as well as represenatives from the GoK Language Commisioners Office, summarized two years of work and successes in the field to promote the Law on the Use of Languages in these municipalities.

This conference also served as a starting point for promoting further the Language Commissioner Android and IOS application for filling complaints on violations of the Law on the Use of Languages,  emphasizing once again the importance of the rights on the use of languages for all communities in Kosovo. “USAID Advancing Kosovo Together (AKT) helped us become visible in the municipalities. They delivered practical help,” said Kosovo Language Commissioner Slaviša Mladenović.

USAID Advancing Kosovo Together (AKT) Prime, through a partnership with Communication for Social Development (CSD), supported the Language Commissioner’s Office effort to improve their implementation of the Law on the Use of Languages in AKT partner municipalities.
