The fifth-annual Girls in ICT Day conference brought together 185 individuals, with 137 people attending various ICT workshops on April 26. The event, organized by IPKO Foundation, is held in more than 150 countries, and offers an opportunity for young women in information and communications technology (ICT) fields to connect with international ICT leaders, participate in workshops, and network with Kosovo ICT companies at a job fair. At this year’s job fair, 25 participating businesses met more than 250 individuals and held over 20 interviews.

In addition to support for this annual event, USAID continues to partner with local organizations, including Cacttus Education, and government partners to provide mentoring and training opportunities for young women and girls who are pursuing careers in ICT.
