USAID/Kosovo staff celebrated Earth Day by participating in the #TrashTag challenge and collecting garbage near Pristina’s train station. Staff filled nearly 40 bags with refuse, and recycled several bags of plastic bottles to support Kosovo’s burgeoning recycling sector and local efforts to curb pollution. In addition to USAID, other U.S. Embassy Pristina staff members took part in the challenge, with many groups posting their photos on official U.S. government social media accounts. The challenge, which is a global movement to clean up polluted spaces, encourages people to take before and after photos to document their efforts.
