"Kosovo serves to gain so much by investing in its people and their potential” - USAID Kosovo Mission Director
Ardian Kurtolli, USAID

USAID formally closed the immersion component of its Transformational Leadership Program (TLP) on March 29, 2019, after five years.  The program aimed to enhance existing human capital and talent in Kosovo by offering public policy and remedial English and math courses to civil servants and prospective university students, respectively. Civil servant participants hailed from both central- and local-level government institutions, while students represented different communities from across Kosovo.

The program aimed to develop a cadre of leaders to drive significant change in Kosovo in priority economic, political, and social development areas. USAID supported the Rochester Institute of Technology in Kosovo (RIT) in posting the USAID supported immersion course materials on RIT’s public website, with free public access. As Mission Director Lisa Magno noted in her remarks, “Kosovo serves to gain so much by investing in its people and their potential.”
