Scott Dobberstein serves as the Mission Director for the U.S. Agency for International Development Mission in Bamako, Mali. Prior to assuming his current duties, Mr. Dobberstein served as Deputy Mission Director in Senegal, with responsibility for USAID's Sahel Regional Office, Deputy Director of USAID's Center for Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance, and Deputy Director in Indonesia. A native of Gary, Minnesota, Mr. Dobberstein received a B.A. degree from Saint Olaf College and an M.A. from Georgetown University. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Syria.
