USAID staff and implementing partner knowledge and capacity is essential to robust implementation of USAID’s environmental procedures—and thus to the effectiveness of the procedures in systematically reducing risk and safeguarding people and resources to strengthen development outcomes and support partner country self-reliance.
To support this knowledge and capacity, USAID missions and bureaus frequently support environmental compliance/environmentally sound design and management training for their staff and implementing partners, drawing on the curricula provided in this section of the environmental procedures site.
To learn more about available curricula and materials choose a training format from the menu on the left. All are built around principles of adult learning and emphasize practical exercises, peer learning, and, wherever possible, field work.
Contact the ECOS COR for information regarding any workshop.
