USAID has partnered with Bangladesh since its 1971 independence and is committed to helping achieve its goal of becoming a middle-income country by 2021 – its 50th year of independence.
Today we are pleased to announce that the United States, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is providing an additional $6 million to the UN World Food Program (WFP) to address the Rohingya crisis in Bangladesh. This funding is in addition to the $1 million provided to WFP earlier this year. This assistance will support food distributions as well as the needed logistics to provide humanitarian assistance.
The five university-level curricula contained within this resource respond to the expressed needs of Bangladesh universities, natural resources management experts and other practitioners to ensure that tomorrow’s professionals are better prepared to take on the challenges of conserving Bangladesh’s rich and diverse natural resources.
