On August 29, USAID, in partnership with the Vietnam Institute of Economics/Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, hosted its Third Annual Learning Symposium. It was attended by over 160 participants representing non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, universities, Government of Vietnam agencies, and international donors. This year’s theme was “Vietnam’s Engines of Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Growth: Using Evidence to Inform Policies and Projects.” Sixteen speakers and panelists shared their knowledge and research for driving sustainable and inclusive growth in Vietnam, focusing on a path to growth that protects the environment; produces a more inclusive labor force; and is fueled by science, technology, and innovation.
So What? By creating a learning platform to adapt to rapid change and increasing complexity in the international and national economic context, USAID is enabling greater collaboration opportunities and enhanced knowledge sharing.
