Vietnam aims to improve legal support services to SMEs and implement the Law on Support to SMEs. In response, USAID’s Governance for Inclusive Growth (GIG) activity and Vietnam’s Ministry of Justice (MOJ) conducted a field study with businesses and providers of corporate legal information and services in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City in October 2017. The study helped review progress and identify good local practices of government-led programs and policies that support access to legal information, counselling and capacity building for SMEs. GIG has been working with experts to finalize the report and the findings of this report will be used by MOJ to draft a new decree on legal support to SMEs. So What? As USAID works with Vietnam to improve its legal and regulatory framework, supporting access to legal information and services for SMEs is vital to reduce corporate disputes and administrative complaints.
