In order to support Vietnam's transition from donor supported HIV treatment services to SHI, USAID’s Sustainable Financing for HIV project has been providing technical assistance through training workshops, on-site visits, and technical meetings. Recently, the project helped the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for Disease Control (HCDC) to develop an online SHI Q&A module on HCDC's website. Launched in June, this tool categorizes and systematizes questions and issues related to HIV examination and reimbursement under SHI into different topics, and provides answers and recommendations.
So what? This Q&A module helps health facilities obtain answers to questions related to HIV service provisions through SHI. The successful transition of HIV treatment services to SHI will contribute to Vietnam’s efforts to achieve sustainable HIV epidemic control and increased self-reliance in the health sector.
