The following is attributable to Spokesperson Tom Babington:
On July 18, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green met with The Honorable Michał Woś, Poland's Minister for Humanitarian Aid, on the margins of the Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom.
In the meeting, Administrator Green and Minister Woś pledged to build upon the November 2018 Memorandum of Understanding between USAID and the Government of Poland, to help communities in the Middle East recover from genocide and persecution. Administrator Green commended Poland for its work with Iraqi religious and ethnic minority communities, and noted USAID's eagerness to cooperate with Poland on the recovery of towns targeted for genocide by the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. The two officials also discussed the need to counter Russian aggression in Europe.
