The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) donated over 3,500 teacher’s kits to the Philippine Department of Education to benefit schools affected by the conflict in Marawi. Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones, DepEd-ARMM Regional Secretary Rasol Mitmug, Jr. and over a hundred DepEd officials attended the turnover ceremony at Amai Pakpak Central Elementary School in Marawi City. The USAID-donated kits with instructional materials and classroom supplies will help Kindergarten to Grade 10 teachers from Marawi City, Cotobato City, Iligan City, and surrounding areas prepare for the new school year.
