United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director Julie Koenen signed a tripartite MoU with Mundri Sheep Breeders Welfare Society and DG Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to formally launch the second phase of the Women Empowerment in South Punjab through Investment in Rural Economy (WEinSPIRE) during a three-day trip to Multan and Bahawalpur.

The United States is a steadfast and long-term partner of Pakistan, especially in the area of energy sector development. On Thursday, November 14, leaders from academia, the private sector, and government celebrated the successes of this partnership: the U.S.-Pakistan Centers for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E).

The recently completed Center of Excellence for Olive Research and Training (CEFORT) was inaugurated during the National Olive Festival held at the Barani Agricultural Research Institute (BARI). The new research and innovation facility will increase olive production and employment opportunities. The two-day event also featured the installation of a U.S.-funded mobile olive oil extraction unit designed to increase efficiency and affordability for small farmers.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is building the future of entrepreneurship in Pakistan by offering Challenge Fund grants of up to $200,000 to motivated entrepreneurs and innovators.
