USAID is the lead U.S. government agency for international development and humanitarian assistance, and is a key implementing partner under the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, or PEPFAR, which is the largest and most diverse HIV and AIDS prevention, care, and treatment initiative in the world.

U.S. Government Promotes Disaster Resilience of Small and Medium Businesses in Samoa

The United States government, in partnership with the Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, today launched a training program that will help businesses in Samoa better prepare for natural disasters. The training is part of the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Ready project, which is strengthening the environmental and disaster resilience of Pacific Island Countries.
