U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green met today with Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, as well as Deputy Director General Gil Haskel, the head of Israel's international development agency, MASHAV.

Administrator Green and Foreign Minister Katz reaffirmed the long-standing partnership and deep friendship between the United States and Israel. They also discussed jump-starting and elevating the recently signed MOU between USAID and MASHAV, which seeks to strengthen cooperation and leverage expertise to further development opportunities in third-party partner countries worldwide. Administrator Green and Foreign Minister Katz noted they were particularly eager to partner on mutual development priorities in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East.
