USAID Peru Mission Director Lawrence Rubey inaugurated the Cacao and Coffee Pavilion of ExpoAlimentaria – Peru’s largest food trade show which took place in Lima.  The Association for Exporters (ADEX) estimates that 650 companies and 45,000 people visited ExpoAlimentaria 2018.

DEVIDA Chief Rubén Vargas and ADEX head Juan Varilias also participated in the inauguration. Each year the Cacao and Coffee Pavilion grows in size and sophistication. Many of Peru’s award winning chocolate makers, such as Shattel, Tesoro, and Ucayali River, participated alongside producers from the Monzon, the VRAEM, and others who are new to the international market.
