The Expo Café Peru 2017 took place from October 19th to 21st. It is the most important event in Peru about coffee, seeks to promote its consumption, display the different varieties, and create alliances with international buyers to encourage its exports.
During the Expo Café there were various activities such as conferences, business meetings, barista exhibitions and competitions among others.
Peru is currently the second largest producer and exporter of organic coffee in the world.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has always participated, supporting the event with the installation of a special pavilion for producers who have renounced illegal coca cultivation and are now engaged in coffee.
