The meeting was opportune to emphasize the TAP lessons learned during its four years of life. The panelists were Nancy Zapata, of the Ministry of Economy and Finance; José Alvarez and Viviana Zaldivar of MINAM. They all highlighted the progress that has been made thanks to the TAP, to the point of being taken as an example to be followed by other countries.
After the conversation, the Minister of the Environment, Elsa Galarza, and the Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Lawrence Rubey, intervened with their comments. Minister Galarza took the opportunity to thank the collaboration of international cooperation to protect the Peruvian biodiversity and the interest in strengthening the country's highest environmental institution.
"Peru and the United States are partners in sustainable environmental management. They have common goals and the prosperity of one country impacts on the prosperity of the other, "said USAID/Peru Director Lawrence Rubey.
