AMMAN, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 – Today, the United States government launched a new web-based library of development information and resources to facilitate collaboration between Jordanian officials, donors, civil society and the private sector. The user-friendly Jordan Knowledge Management Portal (KaMP), available at https://jordankmportal.com, gives users access to and the ability to share Jordan-specific information and resources related to development work.

The portal was developed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to support effective and transparent development in Jordan, and houses hundreds of Jordan-specific development resources. Stakeholders can use the content to inform the design and implementation of strong, evidence-based development projects, and share results and lessons learned.

“KaMP began as a central place for all reports, information and data related to USAID in Jordan to be accessible to the public beyond the life of our individual activities. It is now growing to include Jordanian and international resources related to other development agencies, becoming a one-stop-shop for anyone looking for information on development in Jordan,” said USAID/Jordan Mission Director Jim Barnhart.

KaMP resources, available to the public in both Arabic and English, include studies, assessments, evaluations, training materials, communication and outreach materials, guides and templates, maps and data visualizations from a variety of development stakeholders in Jordan.

Users can search the portal by category, format, keyword, language or organization. Registered users can upload or link to their own resources, or elect to be notified when new resources relevant to their interests are posted. All documents are screened and coded prior to being published on the portal to ensure relevant and up-to-date searches. The portal also offers a “collections” feature that allows users to access a group of related resources with a single click.

The United States government, through USAID, has provided foreign assistance from the American people to Jordan for more than 60 years.
