On behalf of the United States Agency for International Development in Ghana (USAID/Ghana), we are pleased to present our fiscal year 2015 Annual Report, which highlights some of our achievements during the period from October 2014 through September 2015.
We work in four areas: Economic Growth; Health, Population, and Nutrition; Education; and Democracy, Rights and Governance. Our sectoral approach is rooted in the assessment of key gaps and constraints that impede Ghana’s development, and the identification of the institutional-base required for sustainable development. Targeted interventions in these areas are identified in partnership with the Government of Ghana (GoG), civil society and development partners. These interventions are designed to achieve a “catalyst” effect that complements Ghanaian public and private investments, foreign investment, and development partner support to enable Ghana to realize its ambitious yet achievable goal of becoming an established lower middle-income country by 2022.
