On December 11-12, the USAID-supported Ministry of Justice Center for Development of Legislation and Legal Studies (Center), brought together a large group of stakeholders to discuss several laws and regulations related to the business enabling environment, in line with the Ministry of Justice’s Judicial Reform Strategy Action Plan. Representatives from the National Assembly, the Ministries of Economy and High-Tech Industry, Central Bank, civil society and private sector shared their stances on proposed changes, including to the Law on Joint Stock Companies and the Civil Code. USAID/Armenia's project manager Lusine Hakobyan thanked the attendees for their active participation, emphasizing the importance of considering diverse viewpoints and ensuring large participation in the legislative process. During the last day of the workshop, the Center's staff engaged in conversation to revise capacity needs and update the Center's sustainability plan.
