Assistance in Building Afghanistan by Developing Enterprises (ABADE) worked with the private sector to strengthen its productivity and help enterprises sustain growth and create jobs. ABADE’s objectives were to increase domestic and foreign investment, stimulate employment, and improve sales of Afghan products.
AWDP sought to increase job placements and wages by strengthening the labor pool in major economic areas and addressing the difficulties of high unemployment, scarcity of technically-skilled Afghan labor, and trained business managers.
The Afghanistan Trade and Revenue Project facilitated regional trade by developing cross-border transit agreements and improved economic growth and stability in the region. The project supported Afghanistan’s need to meet and implement its World Trade Organization (WTO) commitments.
APFM provided advisory services and training programs to Afghan governmental institutions to generate more revenue and improve planning, execution and monitoring of the national budget.
