Overview

The objective is to obtain maximum utility from USAID-financed host country contracting when implementing bilateral assistance (other than Commodity Import Programs, contracting by intermediate credit institutions, or contracting restricted to local sources.) (USAID policy on the criteria for using host country contracting and the procedures used in determining, usually during activity design, to implement activities by host country contracting is found in Chapter 301.
