Courtney Chubb
Mission Director (Acting)

Courtney Chubb is a Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Class of Counselor. She currently serves as the Acting Mission Director for USAID West Bank/Gaza. Previously, Courtney served as Director of the Foreign Service Center in the Office of Human Capital and Talent Management at USAID headquarters in Washington, DC. In that role, she oversaw the Agency’s policies and operations supporting the careers of over 1,700 Foreign Service Officers. She has also served as a Supervisory Executive Officer at the USAID Missions in Thailand, Russia, and Mexico, leading multicultural teams providing a host of management services including IT, human resources, budgets, logistics, and procurement. She started her USAID career as the Executive/Program Officer at the USAID Mission in Colombia, during a time of rapid and massive expansion of U.S. assistance to the country.

Prior to USAID, Courtney worked as an editor at Coinvertir, the Invest in Colombia Corporation, and as a financial reporter for the Energy Intelligence Group, covering the oil and gas industry. At the Department of Commerce, she served as an International Trade Specialist focusing on U.S. trade with Central and Eastern Europe. She received her Masters degree in International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Harvard University with a major in Government.
