In the last 20 years, the U.S. Government has invested nearly $120 billion in public health worldwide $120 billion in 21st -century global public health investments. Thanks to the generosity of Americans, USAID promotes a more health and stable world. Major areas of focus: combating infectious disease, controlling the HIV/AIDS epidemic, preventing child and maternal deaths. In Nigeria, USAID partnered with 100 trained volunteers on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in rural communities. Administrator Mark Green virtually swore in Chris Cushing as the new USAID Haiti Mission Director. Over 99% of the workforce in DC is teleworking, including the Administrator and Deputy.
