U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Assistant Administrator for the Bureau of Europe and Eurasia Brock Bierman will travel to Brussels, Belgium, Paris, France, and Chisinau, Moldova June 26-July 11, 2019.
In Brussels, Assistant Administrator Bierman will attend the German Marshall Fund's annual Brussels Forum to engage on issues related to youth leadership, civil society, and development progress across the region, including the Western Balkans.
In Paris, Assistant Administrator Bierman will meet with European Union officials and other international donors to discuss USAID programs in the region and future collaboration.
In Chisinau, Assistant Administrator Bierman will meet with Moldovan Prime Minister Maia Sandu and members of the new ruling coalition to discuss ways that USAID can support the reform agenda of the new government. He will visit a range of USAID projects in Moldova with Ambassador Dereck Hogan dedicated to advancing Moldova's development progress and Euro-Atlantic integration.
